Name: Saleho
Level:
10
Age:
1250 (25 years old)
DOB:
June 24th
Gender:
Male
Race:
Pandemonian
Division:
Fraud

Quote(s):"What's wrong with a little bit of lying?"

Personality:

At heart, Saleho is a curious child.  He's easily interested in the world around him, including Cauraha and Khadroma, and enjoys traveling around and exploring new places.  His favorite spots are usually high above, in a tree or on the rooftop of a building.  He's not one for socializing, preferring to sit alone and watch the activity below him.  Human behavior is quite new to him, especially since those outside of Fraud are capable of pure honesty, something he's not very familiar with.  As for khads and other pands, he holds a strong dislike for them, believing that they hoard the privilege that has escaped the wastelands of Fraud.   Though he has no real basis for his emotions, he's stubborn, holding them close to his heart and allowing them to sway his attitude towards others.

Saleho's also surprisingly hardworking.  For all the gambling he does, he tends to be quite charitable for a fraudian, giving away coins to small children he comes across.  He uses his appearance to intimidate others, but he's a coward, avoiding conflict as often as he could.  He's not a pacifist at all; rather, he dislikes pain and exerting needless energy, and avoids it at all costs.  Fighting is just a waste of valuable time that could be spent hunting for food or making money.  He has an excellent poker face and a quick hand, making it easy for him to cheat in whatever games he plays.

Saleho's most important weakness is the scales on his tail.  Besides being sensitive, they reflect certain patterns depending on his mood.  When he's irritated, they tend to shake, while when he's embarrased, his spikes shoot up.  It's the only way to see behind the poker face he holds and know what he's truly thinking.

Likes:
    - His tail
    - Being alone
    - Dawn
    - The few oasis he finds
    - Gambling

Dislikes:
    - The sun

Talents:
    - He's really great at card games/games that involve gambling because he cheats
    - He can balance on his tail sometimes. He can also puff out his face and back spikes which helps him looks larger than he actually is.
    - He can easily camouflage into his surroundings as well as hide extremely well.

Bio:
Saleho was born and raised in the Fraud Circle, the only child of two poor pands.  Like many children at the time, he grew up in the slums, barely a penny to his name as he traveled around the overcrowded tunnels begging for food and money.  He was small and thin, and in such a dry circle, food was difficult to come by.  His parents were of little help, not caring much for the child and trying to survive themselves.  This dog-eat-dog world became familiar to Saleho, and by the time he was old enough to hold his own, he was already outside, fighting for available water and whatever strange edible creatures managed to crawl near the tunnel entrances.  It was at this point that Saleho was picked up by a passing caravan, who had managed to see the child take down a rather large monster in order to feed himself for the night.  They saw potential in the fighter, and with few ties back at home, Saleho joined them.  They taught him the art of swindling, using his soft, innocent features to trick those who thought he was a mere beggar child.  By the time Sal had hit his teens, he was a natural conman, gambling in between hunting and raking in a nice amount of money for himself.

Unfortunately, his luck ran dry when a group of cheated Fraudians attacked the caravan he was a part of, ripping those inside to shreds for the money that was lost.  Though Saleho managed to make it out alive, he was still a wanted pand, his name known in many tunnels around Fraud.  For the next few years, Sal ran, fleeing from tunnel to tunnel as he continued to make a living through gambling.  Unnecessary brawls started, and Saleho found himself hating the bruises that formed with each game he won.  He was no longer the baby-faced criminal with beginner's luck, but a hardened man who cheated his way through too many matches.  It was around this time that the human world opened, and in an effort to ditch the hostile presence of Fraud, Saleho fled to Cauraha to erase his name.

His time in the human world was rocky.  He managed to find a generous human who he decided to contract with, though the bond ended quite quickly, leaving Saleho without any allies.  In the short time before the contract, the pand had grown quite fond of his partner, and the contract only made it that much more meaningful.  For someone who had to cheat to live, it was the one beacon of light that he could trust.  When the bond was broken, Saleho found himself unsure of his newfound happiness in the human world, and went into hiding, confused about where he should go.  Eventually, he returned to Fraud, where his name had been cleared.  He spent several months in his Circle, moping around before finally returning to Cauraha.

Now spending his nights in Fraud and his mornings in the human world, Saleho is looking to start anew.  He wants to learn to trust the humans again, as they may be his only hope for getting out of his troubling situation.  After all, there's not much left for him in Fraud, especially if he wants to stay alive.

Trivia:

     - He's a Thorny Devil. However, unlike a thorny devil he is actually pretty fast.
    - He acts like a kid sometimes, which always embarrasses him = v=b
    - His thorns are very sensitive if touched the right way. He doesn't like people touching his tail because of this
    - His spikes run from the base of his skull down his back, and then end with the tail.
    - He is extremely talented at forging signatures and styles/mimicking voices/etc. etc.

    Spike Defense/Sand Manipulation
Saleho's spikes are extremely useful. Because he has to conserve as much energy as he can, he usually puffs out his spikes during combat. They not only protect him
from unwanted attacks, but also harm the attacker. With this, he can decrease movement and increase damage done to the enemy.  Unfortunately, they provide little
resistance to magical-based attacks, and tend to wear down with each blow.  If they're worn down too much, they will crack and break, leaving Saleho without any
    defensive abilities.

When in the Fraud circle, Saleho has some magic-based abilities.  He can manipulate sand to resharpen his spikes, though the process takes time leaving him easily
exposed on the battlefield.  He doesn't have nearly enough control to use it as a proper weapon, and is unable to use the ability when he's in a place without sand
(Cauraha, Khadroma, and most of the other Circles).

    Extra Abilities
        - If he's seriously injured, he can camouflage with with surroundings in order to hide from his attacker.  Unfortunately, he cannot move when camoflauged or he will
give away his position.  The camouflage only works if he stays completely still.
        - He is pretty fast, but only uses his speed while hunting for food or traveling.  Due to the lack of nourishment, he usually grows tired very easily and therefore must
limit his speed to only using it when

Weapon:
None.  He prefers hand-to-hand combat with his claws and tail.

Stats:
    Health:
720
    Magic:
520
    Attack:
640
    Defense:
910
    Speed:
950

Battling Style:
In order to conserve energy and reduce unnecessary movement, Saleho tends to put up his spike defense, using it to fend the enemy off.  He can act as a "tank" for a
short amount of time while others attack the enemy, then lower his spikes and use his speed for a finishing blow.  He relies mainly on combat outside of Fraud, but he's
a one-hit wonder, hitting vital points to bring down the enemy as fast as possible.  During long battles, he must rest to restore his energy, else he'll overtire himself.
